The situation is irritating and surprising at the same time. Why is it that educated, smart and kind person cannot find someone equally kind? What is wrong? The answer and the remedy can be found in the Chakra profile.

We all have different Chakra profiles and instinctively are looking for people who compensate for lack or excess of energy (Chi) in us.

From the energy (Chi) point of view, the algorithm of love is simple. It is an elegant hidden dance between the Chakras of two people.

A woman always plays an active part in initiating the Chi exchange by checking the compatibility between man’s Heart Chakras and her own. When she finds his Chakra attractive and unattached, she “holds” the two chakras together. The man feels this and checks the compatibility between his and the woman’s Sacral Chakras. When two Heart Chakras and Two Sacral Chakras are a match they connect like magnets. Let’s see how different Chakras affect our romantic luck.

Chakra 1 – Base Chakra, is the foundation of our emotional and physical wellbeing. According to ancient texts this Chakra is responsible for our sense of confidence and grounding. The imbalance manifests itself in a feeling of insecurity, weakness, and unworthiness.  The person with a closed Base Chakra is shy and feels lonely and unsupported by the community, parents and friends. He or she is the perfect target for a bully or a sexual predator.

In short: a person with a closed, undeveloped or blocked Base Chakra is a potential victim, a person with an overdeveloped Chakra– is an assailant.

The person with a balanced Base Chakra manifests confidence, strength and self-reliance.  Even the physical appearance says: I can offer help to those in need, but don’t mess with me – I am strong enough to protect myself and those around me.

Chakra 2 – Sacral Chakra, the cradle of our sexual powers.  This Chakra is used by men to “check-out” women, to see if they are is unattached and open for sex.

When the Sacral Chakra is closed in women, this Chakra makes the person “invisible” to the opposite sex. They see you, they talk to you, but they do not pay any attention to you, no matter how beautiful you are. In men it can lead to impotence, lack of interest in sex, or in total confusion when approached by ladies.

Victims of sexual assault often have the Second Chakra closed.

Those with balanced Sacral Chakras are very desirable partners and fun to be around as this Chakra also nourishes our creativity.

Chakra 3 – The Power Chakra, helps us to do things, it is the energy of our will.

When closed, it manifests itself in lack of initiative and weak will. The person with a closed Power Chakra is a toy in the hands of others and lets the partner continue abuse without asking for help. Obedient victims only find excuses for a partner’s unforgivable behaviors (no matter physical abuse or infidelity).

People with an overactive Power Chakra are aggressive, angry bullies, unable to control the overflow of energy coming out from the Power Chakra.

Partners with balanced Power Chakras are well organized, have strong will and are respectful to wishes of others.

 Chakra 4 – Heart Chakra, the Chakra of unconditional love.  People with a closed Heart Chakra have an extremely difficult time finding a suitable person to date. A woman with a closed Heart Chakra has a hard time manifesting her intentions to find a mate. A man with this Chakra closed does not see the opportunity when he is approached by a woman.

Separation, divorce, death in the family or betrayal is just a few causes of a closed Heart Chakra. That’s why so many people find it difficult to get a new partner immediately after previous relationship collapses.

People with this Chakra opened are generous and well loved by others.

Chakra 5 – Throat Chakra, the gift of self-expression. This is where people present themselves to the world.

When closed, it creates difficulties with communication which can lead to misunderstanding and broken relationships.

Chakra 6 – The Third Eye Chakra is the Chakra of intuition. This is where we scan another person’s  body language, appearance and have an educated guess: he loves me, he loves me not.

People with this Chakra closed always tend to make wrong farfetched assumptions: “He did not look at me when he entered the office. He hates me. I am worthless”. “He looked at me when I said that I lost my pen – he definitely loves me. We are going to get married soon.” The cause and effect logic is lost to people with a closed Third Eye Chakra.

People with an opened Third Eye Chakra see only facts and never make fanciful assumptions, saving moans and torments for more worthy occasions.

Chakra 7 – The Crown Chakra is our connection to spirituality. It brings us peace and tranquility and helps us to make moral decisions. It is our guide to what is right and wrong. It is our guard against falling for somebody who is not right for us.

• Skin rejuvenation. Sauna use slowly restores elimination through the skin. The skin is the largest organ of the body and a major eliminativechannel. In most people, it is inactive, congested and toxic. Sun exposure,use of synthetic clothing, bathing in chlorinated water and exposure tohundreds of chemicals damage the skin. Excessive sympathetic nervoussystem activity and emotions such as fear, anger and guilt cause blood to bewithdrawn from the skin, contributing to inactivity of the skin.

• Enhanced sweating. Sweating in a sauna is a by-product of applying heat to the body. The sweating process gently and safely helps eliminate all heavy metals and toxic chemicals. Medical studies demonstrate that most toxins can be eliminated through the skin, relieving the burden on the kidneys and liver. From Ayurvedic point of view Lavender is the perfect oil that is suitable for any person. And I truly believe that no medicine cabinet or pantry should go without it.

Lavender has been used continuously for centuries to enhance food and for health as dried flowers, herbed oils, and essential oils. People were using Lavender from washing linens to soothing teas, from hiding under the corset of beautiful ladies for a pleasant smell to healing wounds of a soldier.

It is important to say that among various species of Lavender only Lavandula officinalis (other names: Lavandula angustifora, Lavandula vera) can be used therapeutically. Therapeutic Lavender is not cheap and is the most often adulterated oil. There are more than 30 different types of Lavender oils for sale. Not all of them are of a therapeutic and organic grade. Some species of Lavender contain too much ketones and are too toxic to be used in aromatherapy. Buy your lavender only from the reputable sources.

Medicinal properties of Lavender:

• Analgetic (arthritis/rheumatism, muscle pain, bruises)
• Antibacterial (according to some research it is effective against: diphtheria, pneumonia, acute sinusitis, otitis media, meningitis, sepsis, septic arthritis, endocarditis, peritonitis, pericarditis, cellulitis, brain abscess, urinary tract infections, E. coli, septicemia, ankylosing spondylitis, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus, salmonella, staphylococcus, streptococcus, gastrointestinal illness to name a few)

• Insect repellent:

o   Add few drops to a skin lotion, apply just before your daily walk in the park

o   Put a few drops on your hands, rub together, than rub your body just before going out

o   While traveling, put a drop on your bed and a drop on the pillow

Note: for outdoor use you will need to reapply essential oil every few hours.

• Insect bites – apply one drop and rub in.
• Burns – apply one drop immediately, do not rub if the blister appears. For the bigger burns: soak gauze and gently cover the injured place, and go to the hospital.
• Skin rushes – apply a few drops, gently rub. Contact the doctor if the rushes persist and no improvements show in the next day or two.
• Small cuts – apply 1-2 drops. It will disinfect, ease the pain and help with healing.
• Cough, cold, flu, sinus infection – diffuse the oil in the room for a couple of hours or as long as you want. 20 drops to 1 cup of water.
• Ear infection – 1 drop of Lavender massage around the ear. 1 drop of Lavender (can be mixed with 1 drop of Chamomile) on the cotton ball, place a cotton ball into the ear. Must be applied to both ears even when the pain affects only one.
• Insomnia – diffuse the oil in the room during the night. 20 drops to 1 cup of water. Puts restless babies to sleep like a charm.
• Headache – 1 drop of lavender (can be mixed with 1 drop of Peppermint) applied around the hairline.
• Muscle pain, arthritis, back pain – ease the pain by applying 1-2 drops of Lavender directly to the affected area.
• Depression, anxiety, mood swings – diffuse the oil in the room for a couple of hours or as long as you want. 20 drops to 1 cup of water.
• Ice-cream – yummy.  Only use therapeutic or food grade oil for it. Instead of vanilla flavoring add 1 drop of Lavender oil for 2 cups of ice-cream mixture before putting it in the ice-cream maker. It adds unforgettable flavor.

A word about diffusers: Only use cold diffusers (ionic diffusers) because heat destroys therapeutic properties of essential oils.

So, how can one be happy with life just 2 days in a week? Just 104 days in a year. Just 23 years of one’s life?

You read all the self-help books, took all the career development classes, but nothing changes. You are stuck. And your most popular mantra “I love my job” does not work anymore.

Probably it is time to put aside some new books (full of tantalizingly new ideas) and look at some old books. How about a really old book? Getting the wisdom from the system that is 5,000 years old and counting makes sense to me. I am talking about Ayurveda.

The main focus of Ayurveda, a wellness system from India, is to create a balance, a flow, on all levels: physical, emotional and spiritual – because without the balance one cannot achieve his or her highest potentials. So how can it help you?

Ayurveda recognizes energy point in human body that reflect our physical and emotional state. They are divided in two groups: Chakras and Marma points. There are 7 Chakras and about 200 (depending on the school) Marma points. By evaluating and balancing Chakras trained practitioner affects not just emotional and physical state of the patient, but also the success of their career advances and family life.

Sounds too good to be true? Let’s take a closer look at the Chakra system.

Chakra 1

Chakra 1 – Base Chakra, is the foundation of our emotional and physical wellbeing. According to ancient texts this Chakra is responsible for our sense of security and grounding. The imbalance manifests itself in high stress level, feeling of insecurity, and high levels of anxiety. Would you do a business with the person who is nervous, jittery and does not meet your eyes? I thought so, neither would I.

The person with balanced Base Chakra manifests confidence, integrity and thrustworthiness.

Chakra 2

Chakra 2 – Sacral Chakra, reflect our creativity. Nothing happens in our lives without creativity. Apparently simple acts of everyday life like cooking, conversation and writing an e-mail require imagination not mentioning projects at work that demand out-of-the-box thinking.

Without creativity there is no career advantage, there is also no job satisfaction or business development.

You can learn to fake confidence, but it is impossible to fake creativity.

Chakra 3

Chakra 3 – Power Chakra represents Will. You might be very creative person but without will, the desire and ability to implement ideas, ideas become fantasies. Malfunction of this Chakra manifests itself in the inability to organize the day, follow the plan or finish the task.

Everything is so hard to do, your day seams busy. But in reality nothing productive is achieved. Even one simple ten minut task seams so huge, that it “occupies” your whole day.

People with balanced Third Chakra achieve the impossible, squeezing 48 productive hours in a single day with ease.

Chakra 4

Chakra 4 – Heart Chakra, the Chakra of love. This is the Chakra with which we give and receive unconditional love to family, friends, co-workers, clients. And how love can affect our carrier or business success?

Malfunction of this chakra shows itself in inability to manifest love and to feel appreciation and love of others. Constant irritation, stress and disappointment with lost clients, deals and opportunities – sounds familiar?

We do not like going to people who do not like us. So if you do not like your clients or cannot manifest your love – don’t be surprised that the retention level is low.

We do not like to perform jobs that are not valued in community. And it is hard to do any job that you do not like or feel unappreciated.

Yes, love can be faked, but people feel the difference.

Chakra 5

Chakra 5 – Throat Chakra: self-expression. This Chakra helps to express our feelings and ideas, and manage tasks and people. Without manifesting our ideas in words (written or spoken) they are nothing. You might have a magnificent world hidden inside you, but without descriptions – it is a corpse of a fantasy and nothing more.

In the beginning it was the Word. People with malfunctioning 5th Chakra might have communication problems and speak so quietly that it is hard to hear them even by standing close.

Without your own voice even faking confidence and love become problematic.

Chakra 6

Chakra 6 – Third Eye Chakra is the Chakra of intuition, the eye into the world of unknown.

None of us can predict the future, but nevertheless…

When this chakra functions properly we can understand the consequences of our actions, we can predict the outcome of our projects, and accept even the worst situations (and by accepting we can use our 2^nd creative Chakra to find the solution).

Without it we are lost: we are uncertain of the outcome of even the simplest actions, we are scared, we do not want to see the truth, we cannot change the situation, we are out of control, we live in the fantasy and it hurts.

When it is open we plan with confidence, we can find the solution to the pressing issues, we stay calm, we are in command and are ready to maneuver in the ever-changing stream of life.

Chakra 7

Chakra 7 – The Crown Chakra is our connection to the spirituality. It brings us peace and tranquility and helps to make moral decisions. It is our guide to what is right and wrong.

When closed it makes us confused, depressed and unbalanced. When open it shines with honesty, trustworthiness and reliability, beaming into the world our true self.

Chakras can be balanced with Reiki, meditation, Yoga, and other holistic modalities.

Ayurveda is the art of longevity, the art of living happier and healthier days from the beginning to the end of our lives. And the longevity of the system itself is a living proof of its effectiveness. It is about lifestyle and balance, and it is so simple and so easy to adapt to any condition that UN declared that it can be successfully used to improve general health of the population in undeveloped countries where resources are scarce and problems are plentiful.

Yoga is a part of Ayurveda. And as it might surprise many of its fans was not developed as the aid to losing weight, but as a daily practice to keep our mind, body and body’s energy (Prana) in balance.

What energy? And why does it need balancing? Ayurveda recognizes that our body has an energy field that affects our emotional and physical state. This energy field was called Aura, and it consists of Chakras, Marma Points and Nadins.

For example: Ayurveda teaches that closed or damaged Base Chakra affects not just our stress level, but our relationship with parents and siblings as well, and might cause leg pain , lower back pain and various skin problems.

Traditional Chinese Medicine that evolved approximately at the same time also recognizes Human energy field and divides it into Acupuncture points and Meridians.

Acupuncture points system is very similar to Chakra/Marma system. Nadins are similar to Meridians.

Many of you might be familiar with Qi Gong (pronounced chi-gung) and Tai Chi. Both are practiced with the same goal as Yoga – to balance the body’s energy (in Traditional Chinese Medicine it is called Chi).

There are many schools of Qi Gong and Tai Chi. As one of the Tai Chi teachers told me: many rivers – one principle. The only setback that Yoga, Qi Gong and Tai Chi have in common is that one has to practice for many years to achieve the ability to control the energy (Prana, Chi or Ki in Japanese).

The great achievement of Reiki is that it overcomes this obstacle.

At the beginning of the 20th century Japanese Qi Gong practitioner developed a new modality that revolutionized the way one can learn basics on how to control Chi in a very short period of time. His name was Usui Sensei and he called it Reiki.

Reiki (as any energy healing before it) can be used to balance our energy’s, restore body’s coherency and assist in self-healing.

Numerous research in China and India showed strong connection between disease, emotions and our energy field. And doctors all over the world now use hundreds of energy balancing protocols to assist their patients.

Each of our organs runs on… electricity. In 1924 the Nobel Prize was awarded to W. Einthoven for discovery of heart’s electricity. And as we know electricity produces magnetic field. Than a few drops of essential oils are applied and spread to your back, along the spine.

First Oregano that is considered one of the most potent anti infectious and anti parasitic oils. The research shows that oregano can effectively deal with such bacteria as E-coli, MRSA (Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus), Salmonella, and Staphylococcus Oregano is also an immunostimulant.

Next goes antiseptic and immune enhancing Thyme. Thyme is eight times stronger than phenol and is effective against infectious pneumonia, Enterococci, E-coli, MRSA (Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus), Staphylococcus and Streptococcus. It is also very strong antiviral and anti fungal oil.

The application of Basil helps to relax voluntary and involuntary muscles. It releases any spasm that might impaired your movement or cause pain.

The cortisone-like effect and analgesic properties of Wintergreen helps to deal with any immediate pain you might experience.

Marjoram not only is relaxing to voluntary and involuntary muscles but is also has analgesic and antibacterial properties, balances thyroid function, and inhibits of a range of yeasts, moulds, five fungal and twenty five bacterial species.

Next we apply Cypress. It supports circulatory and lymphatic systems, balances ovary’s functions and helps with edema and rheumatic swelling.

Peppermint supports digestive, respiratory and nervous systems and helps to integrate the effect of essential oils.

The last we apply Valor , blend of essential oils that helps to balance body’s electricity and stimulates spinal alignment.

Light massage accompanies the application of essential oils followed by warm towels.

But for the ancient Romans, gladiators, and Greek athletes it was a common past time (golf was not yet invented by Brits, of course, so there is no way to say what those guys would do having a choice). And many well-to-do Romans spent their Friday afternoons at the expensive “termas” (saunas), enjoying steam, talking to friends, drinking water with snow brought by swift couriers from the nearby mountains, and having the most luxurious massage with essential oils.

Egyptian Pharaohs spent endless hours surrounded by servants who anointed them with all kinds of most expensive essential oils. In fact Pharaohs treasured essential oils so much that they took them into the afterlife.

So what is so special about essential oils? And why should the modern guy return to the ancient practice of receiving aromatherapy sessions on a regular basis?

Essential oils can assist:

* With performance and endurance – they sooth and relax tired muscles. Gladiators received special essential oils massage on a regular basis.
* With strengthening the immune system – it is not very “mucho” to have frequent colds. Essential oils where used by many rulers to help them to stay healthy. Napoleon showered himself after the morning bath with rosemary cologne every day.
* With vigor – many essential oils can improve you love life. Rose was used since the ancient times during the weddings to calm nervous groom and as aphrodisiac – thus the tradition of throwing rose petals at the marrying couple.
* With improving overall health – most of the modern drugs are just variations of chemicals found in plants and essential oils. Three Wise Men did not bring Jesus essential oils just because they wanted to give something expensive: frankincense and myrrh were the most potent anti-infectious agents you could find during the Bible times.

Many men regard smell as “non-macho” attribute. But do not cancel your aromatherapy session just because you are going to the stag party in the evening. Skin absorbs most essential oils immediately, and the smell disappears quickly in a matter of minutes or in a couple of hours the most. People around would not notice a thing. On another note: natural aroma of essential oils is not considered by most people as offensive, because of its natural source.

And last but not least: never put non-therapeutic grade essential oils on your skin because you never know what was added to extract it faster and cheaper or smell better.

One must be very careful. Real Aromatherapy has nothing to do with the candles and vaporizers that supposed to make you smart or happy.

Fragrance Oil - synthetic product that mimics the smell of essential oil and has nothing to do with essential oil’s healing properties. IMPORTANT: Fragrance oils must never be used in aromatherapy. It can cause the poisoning. Use only reputable sources of essential oils, so you know that essential oil was not substituted with fragrance oil.

Essential Oil – is not actually oil but an essence of plants and flowers. Essential oil is a complex natural combination of hydrocarbons, alcohols, phenols, methyl ethers, aldehydes, ketones, organic acids and esters, oxides, lactones, and coumarins. One essential oil can contain just a few or hundreds of components.

Many modern drugs were made to mimic healing properties of essential oils or herb teas that were used by doctors for centuries.

Aromatherapy is used in by doctors and in hospitals in many European countries ( France, United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland, and Switzerland). Financial data from European countries shows that the usage of complimentary medicine greatly reduces the cost of health care and improves general health of local population.

Many essential oils with anti-viral properties can be used everyday by children, adults and elders for prevention.

The safest way is to defuse essential oils it in the room (cold diffusion is preferable as this method does not destroy integrity of essential oil).

Diffuser can be used during the night in the bedroom or in the living room when your family gathered together for a chat, dinner or a movie. Diffusers are very effective in preventing the spread of infections among family members.

If you teach classes or work in the room with other people don’t hesitate to bring diffuser with you. Therapeutic essential oils are hypo allergic as they contain no protein and no man made chemicals. People also find essential oil smell non-offensive.

The following is the list of single essential oils that might be useful. Use them along or in combination (NB: essential oil must be of therapeutic grade to be effective): cinnamon bark, grapefruit, myrrh, coriander, cypress, eucalyptus globulus, eucalyptus radiate, helichrysum (everlasting or immortale), hyssop, lavender, bay leaf, cajuput, spearmint, Scots pine, revensara, rosemary, sage, clove bud, thyme, Idaho tansy, lemon, mountain savory, myrtle, peppermint.

Having an aromatherapy session on a regular basis is a very good preventive approach.

1. Only a Reiki Master can teach classes and do attunements
2. It takes time to become a Reiki Master. Nobody can learn to become a Reiki Master in one weekend
3. It takes a Reiki Master to teach a Reiki Master. Nobody can learn Reiki by watching DVD or receiving on-line/distant “attunement”
4. In Japan only practicing Reiki Master can get permission to teach a class. There are no such requirements in the USA. But if you plan to use Reiki a lot, you might want somebody with experience to guide you.

What you should look for?

Reiki I class (approximately ten hours long) must have the following components:

* 4 attunements
* At least two hours must pass between attunements
* Information about: history, changes, basic anatomy, basic Chakra information, application, hand positions for self-treatment and to treat others, hands-on practice, Reiki meditation (Gassho), scanning technique

At least twenty one day must pass between Reiki I and Reiki II classes.

Reiki II class (approximately eight hours long) must have the following components:

* 2 attunements
* At least two hours must pass between attunements
* Three Reiki symbols: to turn-on the energy, to send energy over the great distance, “telepathy” symbol

It is recommended to practice at Reiki II level for months to develop all the techniques. Reiki Master training must have the following components:

* Master symbols
* How to do attunements: Reiki I, Reiki II, Reiki Master
* Master meditations and breathing techniques

Reiki is just a tool. It takes time to learn the clinical application. Reiki can be used in combination with essential oils. Reiki can be applied to chakras (main and secondary) and auras, to marma points, to meridians. There are many fascinating techniques to be learned on your journey.

To make Reiki more acceptable, the ancient teaching of Chi was slightly modified to fit the Western mentality and in the process many important points were missed. To make the situation even worse Reiki was banned in its native Japan along with Acupuncture and other Eastern healing traditions during the American’s occupation in 1945.

With its roots cut, Reiki led an odd life and was used for many things that it was not intended.

Let’s clarify some history: Reiki was discovered by the person who practiced Chi Gong, an ancient Chinese tradition of bringing Chi energy into harmony in order to help body to heal itself. Reiki is the next step in a long tradition of energy balancing, not a completely new discovery. Now everything falls into place and we can explain what it is and what it is not:

• Reiki CAN balance Chi in human body – yes, Chi energy exists and can be measured by AcuGraph ;
• Reiki IS NOT a religion;
• Reiki CAN balance Chakras, Marma points and Meridians – those who claim that the human body produces no energy field might also stop using the EKG; in 1929 the Nobel Prize was awarded to W. Einthoven for the discovery of heart’s electricity and as we know electricity produces an energy field;
• Reiki CANNOT make you fly or become rich;
• Reiki CAN help with pain management – 15% of American hospitals use Reiki;
• YouTube or any other video CANNOT attune you to Reiki or heal – the frequencies of the recordings are different from Chi frequencies or any other healing frequencies;
• Reiki CAN help to increase your energy level – some experiments shows that the level of hemoglobin increases after Reiki attunement;
• Reiki Master level CANNOT be achieved by a novice with just a weekend class – there are three levels of Training: it takes at least ten hours class and four attunements to achieve level 1; then at least a month to learn the energy and develop skills at the first level; then another ten hours and two attunements to learn level 2; it takes even more time to master level 2; and another class to get to the master level and endless hours of practice and teaching to become a Reiki Master;

Reiki, as a no cost technique, can be used along with Ayurveda in less developed countries.

What we need now is more research.
